Fished the Coliban river on Friday as planned with the 2 boys and one their mates. We walked all the way down to where it runs into Eppalock using spinners and soft plastics. The water is pretty low but there are some deeper holes in the river and we caught a heap of reddies from just 2 holes the on...

Some nice fish there mate :tu: Bream fishing is some of my favourite especially when you get a 1kg fish on with light gear they fight as good as any fish

Wait so there’s actually a decent number of yellas? And potentially cod? In the creek or weir I went for a drive on Saturday and had a look around. Yup there's trout in king parrot creek, mostly small. Don't think it's stocked with trout either. So mostly a catch and release fishing there. No idea about deep creek. Give it a try, you never know. In the Snowy River just upstream from Marlo back towards Orbost anywhere on the big horseshoe bend in the picture is excellent for Big bream in the evenings on frozen prawns.
