Re: Leader line length
Is there a problem if your leader goes on the spool? and the knot between the main line and the leader runs accross the guides? I also use a double uni and never have any problems for the fishing i do. But it would possibly be an issue when you are using larger breaking strain leader (40 or 60lb+).

Re: Leader line length
I also use roughly a rod length or so. Basically two arm lengths of leader when i am tying a new rig. Unless i am using a swivle, in which case its more like 1m of leader for a double paternoster.

Re: Is the structural integrity gone?
I took 1 wheel off to do the bearing as trailer hasn’t moved for 4 months and found some more rust. Hit with a hammer. Made a decent whole. I’m don’t think worth fixing. Time for a new trailer Is that the only major spot of rust? When i got my first boat home i noticed a bit of rust similar to that...

Re: Precision Boat Trailers
I finally picked up the new trailer today.. what i originally thought would be a week or two turn around turned into over 4 months but after speaking to them on the phone when i ordered the trailer i realised that it was going to be a long wait due to supply issues with Covid lockdowns etc.

Re: Boat ramp etiquette
I am pretty confident at the boat ramp. I can reverse a trailer and i know what im doing. I could probably launch in 2 or 3 mins including reversing the trailer and have the boat tied up and be off the ramp and looking for a car park, but its more like 5 mins (or more) to get the boat back on the tr...
