Rat flatty about 10 cm

Hi all had my first fishing session at Mt Martha in over 6 months. A rising tide and overcast sunset conditions were a welcome relief from the 43 degrees i endured up at Echuca the previous day. Trout are pretty aggressive fish and small fish are easier to fool. Would be worth trying some celtas or hardbodies such as rapalas. The upper Latrobe river and Toorongo both hold trout. good read i grew up next to gunbower and fished kow swamp and the murray mostly. We had a 20 inch irrigation pipe that sucked in one cod that was 110 lbs and another around 80lb. We decided to put a cage over the inlet back in early 90's to prevent further fish deaths

I've caught crayfish on pilchards off the main breakwall. Also saw my first shark there as well a large 6-7 ft bronzie.
You could try for a gummy at logans beach its a nice deep beach. But beware the swell its brutal sometimes
