Re: Camera recommendations

That’s a good idea if you already have the camera.

Yes you can get better lenses for the EOS 650D.
Did you get the standard 18-55mm and 55-200mm kit lenses?
I’d suggest you get your son to use those lens first before upgrading, as lens (especially good ones) cost $1k+.

Pretty cool mate. Googling them seems like they were new in 2012 give or take?

I’ll research a bit more before pulling the trigger on second hand but that does look good
No worries mate.
Just don’t get sucked in with Megapixels and zoom, the lens and sensor makes a difference.

Re: Camera recommendations

Hey Ducky, I used to sell film and digital cameras many many moons ago... Now $200 is not a big budget, however it doesn’t mean that you can’t get a camera that takes good pictures. I would highly recommend looking second hand cameras. Seeing your son is turning ten, I wouldn’t recommend getting an ...

Re: The Mother Of All Bream Trips!!!

Bloody good pics and awesome Report Steve.
And you’re right to have your opinion on where you’d like to fish. Also well done on spending money in communities that really need it after a devastating start to the year.

Good on ya mate.

What a deal is this?

The beer economy: Ingenious dad swaps a six-pack for a 10.5m BOAT after seeing it advertised online - but there is a small catch •Matty Bertram is still shocked after he got a 10.5m boat in exchange for six beers •Mr Bertram saw the boat advertised for free on Facebook and jumped at it •He also sec...

Re: Flathead Type ID Please

Funny how this ad came up under your post. I say blue spot(yank) flathead - the one on the left :victory: Hi mate, I actually posted that pic showing the comparison lol. Now I'm confused - one person says blue spot (which is what the tail looks like) and someone else has said sand. Either way, if d...

Been awhile

Hi everyone, it’s been awhile since I’ve been on fishvic. Change of jobs, got married, blah blah blah. Hardly got out the last two years. Now that I decided to take a sabbatical  , I got a bit more time to fish. Went out today with a few good ol mates to wet a line and blow off all the dust ...
