Re: Surf rod line class preference

I wouldn't pick line class rating for my rod choice , better would be the casting rating and then match to what you want to use for your fishing. However if targeting Salmon, Mullet and tailor I would go the lighter route . Re: Turtle Rock W.A

Dazz ,

I won the comp with casts at 233+ meters on the 100 , 125 and 150 gram . John hit new PB's and made it into the 200+ meter club . Very happy man and good casting given the tough conditions.

Turtle Rock W.A

Well just got back to Melbourne after a visit to WA for the ASF national and State casting comps as well as a trip to target a few fish afterwards. Must say that I have fish W.A previously but was generally targeting the big Salmon on the southern end of the state :water: This time around however we...

Bagged out on baits

With John unable to drive but still capable of using the little rods it was good that I could catch up with him and head off on a bait gathering session targeting some calamari squid. Got down to the pier just on the turn of the tide and got into a few straight away , from then on it was just a stea...

Re: finally my first maribyrnong bream x2

Congratulations on the capture , as you have taken the picture with the fish against your rod just measure the distance from that against your rod and that will get you close to the actual measure .
