Patterson river fishing report

Well it's certainly been a hot minute since posting on here but I managed a cracking estuary perch today and had to share. I was fishing Patterson river near the mouth with very little luck, as dusk hit I could see something hitting the surface and tied on a little surface lure. A couple of casts in...

Re: Bemm river questions

Heaps of options at the Bemm, but not many land based. Most of the system is very shallow <2m but there will be fish in the shallowest of spots. It also depends if the mouth has been opened to the ocean and when it was last opened - generally fishes better after a few weeks of it opening. Check wit...

Bemm river questions

Hi all, taking a trip to bemm river in a few weeks hoping to catch bream, flathead and whatever else is on offer really. Just after a few pointers as to lures and areas to fish, taking kayaks also but any landbased recommendations would also be greatly appreciated.

Are there estuary perch in this creek as well?
As far as im aware there isn't, I guess its possible but I highly doubt it. I know they're in the patto, I even caught one from there once, I think even Mordi was stocked with some a few years back but I dont know whether they survived.

Re: Bream on lure- Kananook Creek

I am very impressed at your effort. I have seen plenty of bream in Kananook, and have tried to catch them on bait, a few times to but no success so far. I have seen them pretty much as far upstream as Seaford Woolies, so it could be an exciting fishery if you crack the code. Cheers. Cheers mate, be...

Re: Bream on lure- Kananook Creek

Oh mate a 41cm bream can be considered a trophy bream. To pro bream fishos it can be the fish to win a tournament. It feels good when the plan works doesn't it. And mullet on a hardz crank, that's the first I ever heard. Great stuff :tu: What plastic and jig head did you use? The big bream took it ...

Re: Rod replacement....

Well after a great session yesterday I came home set my rod down in the garage and came back the next day only to find out it had been stepped on by someone and snapped.... Its was the 7' bream crank 1-5lb and its by far the best rod I've ever used. But after some searching online I've been unable ...

Bream on lure- Kananook Creek

Between working and VCE time has been extremely limited, so for the second time this year I managed to sneak in a session. After work on Saturday I grabbed a rod and some lures and caught the bus to Kananook creek to try and catch a fish on lure for the very first time in the creek and just relax fo...
