Bad luck Chris, good array of fish there + its been hit and miss for me as well - but as you know, each spot on the yarra has its compromises with comfort and frustration levels. Would have been a nice night to do it tho

Great report, good for a chuckle - not at you, but being able to relate to all the effort in planning a trip, conjuring up all the positive outcomes in your mind (disregarding the negatives completely), then executing and getting a slap of reality on the actual troubles associated with it. I did a lot of walking over a pretty wide breadth of the extremities where i have heard cod reported, Heidelberg to yarra glen.

Thanks for the replies - thought the holiday fishing was over, but the missus announced she was going to the beach today, which freed me up for one last innings over the break. Headed out to another new area, after a few hours of recon, got the bait rods and went back to a spot that looked alright. ...
