Re: The Mighty Bream

Biggest problem would be hooking a Silver Trevally the same size as your Bream on that 2lb string!

Really hope so as It needs a clean out. They all do up that way! I won't be going back until they open up.

Re: Stuff that happens while fishing

Geez, nearly too numerous to list. 1. Launched boat before light. Fishing solo so I just tied the boat off to the nearest rock. Drove up,the ramp and wondered what the noise was. Rope had caught around the trailer and I dragged the boat and the rock up the ramp. 2. Stepped onto the jetty at Tamboon ...

Re: Easter Tarago river report

Trout are pretty aggressive fish and small fish are easier to fool. Would be worth trying some celtas or hardbodies such as rapalas. The upper Latrobe river and Toorongo both hold trout. Re: Tarago River and general advice

I have a fair bit to do with Glen Cromie through work. Last time I was there there were trout swimming in the river in the middle of the park, but I'd go upstream if I wanted to catch one. Best bait in my view is a cricket on light gear, no sinker. Toss it into the runs where they flow into pools. W...

Re: Bunyip River

Mate, I live nearby at Warragul although I've never fished the Bunyip. I remember my Grandfather used to chase blackfish there and they were massive! Love your outfit! I reckon both my Dad and Grandfather had those Mitchell's, how I wish I had have got one. Is that a split cane rod?
