Re: Sandringham Rock Wall

ignore the outside i reckon, inside is where the pinkies/flatties hold. Never caught a squid there, would try beaumaris, black rock for squid instead

Tackle bag with no zippers

Hi everyone,

Zippers on my tackle bags get wet on the bay quite often when I take the kayak out, and as a result they always rust out and corrode. Are there any tackle bags that use velcro or whatever instead of metal zippers?

Cheers

Re: Lagoon pier/ kerferd road pier for squid?

pretty sure theyre very rare there, not much good ground for them and dirty water. You'd have a much better go at them down past mornington or if thats too far, around black rock/beaumaris area

With lures, use spoon or tassie devil.
Rooster tail and mepps are good too. But spoon and tassie devil are heavy, and able to cover more areas.
thanks sm!

We ended up with 9 with 4 in the low 30s and 5 between 38 and 47 hoods. I got my PB 47cm hood on the new yamas...

Re: Purchasing a Tinny

When you go to inspect the boat ask the owner to fill the boat with water up to just past the chines, if he refuses walk away, hair line cracks in metal is hard to see, also if the alloy is corroding tiny pin hole hardly show, especially if painted, I found a tiny hole in the tinny I bought this way...
