I towed a caribbean cobra 5 meter boat with a early 2000 forester. Had to sit on about 80 ks where car would cruise, if I tried to sit on 100 ks, car would drop back down a gear n rev up all the time.. Haha! That's funny! So you're saying it can be done??.. What is your tow vehicle? Subaru Forester unleaded. I think the diesel versions have up to 1,800kg.. Nothing wrong with the motor the same motor can tow 2000kg in the Outback. The limitation is the brakes, chassis and suspension. For weight comparison the Haines Hunter 495 is 1100kg empty on traile...

Stick with the lighter boats then.. Will do Purple I have a similar vehicle and I wouldn't recommend towing massi loads with them. The diesels are a lot better but not the petrol models.
