Re: Inverloch/Andersons Inlet - This weekend 6/7?

I’ve had some really good sessions off the beach to the left of the jetty, off to the right of the jetty looks better but fishes poorly. Not the beach in front of the rocks, go further along til you’re just in front of the sand dunes. Nice hard sand and very short cast to the channel. Always best on...

Re: Inverloch/Andersons Inlet - This weekend 6/7?

Don’t, very soft sand, rapid tidal flow. There are good fish in that channel, but access the one halfway back to the boat ramp where it comes in much closer to the beach. That big sand bar is excellent for pumping bass yabbies however, which are your best bait option in the inlet. Very worthwhile so...

Re: Can you eat snapper or pinkie at dockland?

Try the old Malcolm Douglas recipe, coconut cream n tinned mango, with any or all of the above mentioned Asian flavours, don't forget lime zest, or kaffir lime leaves. Delicious.

Just the launching beach at Torquay. Nice quiet day down here today. My new phone is too fancy...., doesn't automatically reduce pic size, can't attach photo of the fish...!

Another box ticked

With a favourable forecast all morning headed out from fishos at 6, great conditions. Fished approximately 2ks out, eventually boating the first kingy I've landed in Victoria...., was actually my mate who caught it, and really just a rat, but fought like hell. 3/4 hour later I hooked up, only to hav...

Re: Torquay Artificial Reef and FAD's

Fishos is OK on the days it's gunna be OK to fish out there. Don't bank on the tractor, have your own plan. Launch is easy (4wd necessary), retrieval is where boaties come unstuck. Your standard jockey wheel will bury deep with water movement n boat loaded onto it and you will not be able to pull it...

Torquay

After the morning rain settled dumped the boat in at fishos and was at the artificial reef in no time with glassy conditions. Got fishing with an early calamari on baited jig coming aboard, then the southerly abruptly kicked through with unpleasant conditions ensuing. Unfortunate because the mackere...
