In all fishing scenarios you are only as strong as you're weakest link. If at any time you have line being taken by the fish, you're drag is the most important part of the set up. Can't beat carbon fiber washers for strength and smoothness.

If Grant is available on Saturday, he could try and make my fishing better. That would be awesome.
If there is residue left from old fuel, it will need a solvent like thinners. Pour some in and let the tank sit with the thinners soaking the residue. Then rinse with petrol. Otherwise just shake some petrol around and discard thoughtfully.
