Boat/Deckie Spot

Hi. If anyone has a spare spot for going out to catch some snapper either ppb or wp I'd like to get onto some. I'm in frankston so I can drive half hour or so to launch with you. Will put in costs for fuel and bait. I'm free any Sundays and don't mind starting early. Cheers.

Re: Anyone want to come fishing tomorrow?

Yeah my lighter rod will suffice for whiting and squid although heavy sinkers req for wp bay will weigh it down. My other rod will struggle with bigger fish if we find them but it'll be fun to get out. Need any specific bait?

Mussels locations and Lakes Entrance update

Hi guys. Just got back from lakes entrance and the fishing was so slow. The metung area was dead as other than small bream. Tambo not good either. Decided to hit surf beach knowing I'd get salmon. Caught 3 35cm in 5 mins at sunrise tuesday. On way back stopped at Reeves landing and had crabs taking ...

Re: Gunners first timer

Hi mate. Gunnas is good when wind is N or NW NE. If its any other it can be difficult and you'll need heavy sinkers. I've done good there mostly in mornings. Go down steps and walk left to you find gutters. Others on here will have better advice also but I know winds need to be aligned

Re: Season Starter.

Great reports mate. I'm excited. Actually heading down to stay at metung this weekend for a few nights. Have never fished there before. Any advice for LB options close by and may hire a boat for a day so any tips appreciated. I've heard of an artificial reef off metung but not sure where. Cheers
