I stayed in Yanakie earlier this year. Out from the caravan park I caught flathead. High tide only, though. It's really, really, really shallow a long way out on the low. I think different conditions suit different lures better. Deeper water probs blades, shallow water sp`s. Also plastics are probs better in snaggy areas as blades tend to get caught up.
