Knife straight through the heart down from the mouth and gut straight away. Dont go cutting big chunks out of the back of the head looks crap in photo and doesn’t bleed them out properly. Blood is held in the heart and guts not the top of the head

Find where u want to anchor drive into the tide past that mark let anchor down till it hits the bottom once on the bottom motor into reverse and go back onto where u want to anchor while letting rope out once where u want to be tie of. As I’m one of the lucky ones still able to fish headed down to my local at st Leonard’s chasing ting. Was greeted by 20 knots of westerly which made squiding tough only 2. Whiting were slow ended up with 15 however not one under 35cm. Berley pot with smashed up pillies was a must

Hi Dennis have heard some locals getting good ones front of queenscliff pressume thats in the bite but not in many numbers should get better next month or so
