Re: Willy / Altona reefs finally firing up
Should be plenty of squid about when fishing in close. Id try deeper for snapper. Also sometimes shallower water holds better size Bit of both above, deeper and shallows! Regardless, less undersized and sized pinkies this weekend, more Australian salmon but no birds working the salmon which makes t...

Willy / Altona reefs finally firing up
Hi All, The reefs close into the shore at Willy and I assume Altona are finally firing up with some pinkies caught over the long long Easter weekend. For some of the time today I was only using one rod, the action was fast but not so furious, many many small pinkies caught. Bring plenty of squid. So...

Re: Stuck in Covid Testing Line
Ffs make the home testing kits free or a nominal cost like $2 and get them to supermarkets etc in bulk numbers to take the pressure off the testing centres. $15 per test is a joke.

Re: Back in lockdown again.
These lockdowns arent getting any easier & it feels like its going to be a long, long time before we get on top of all this. This! We’ve got another couple of lockdowns to go, the rate we are going. We don’t seem to be learning from our mistakes. This wave started with a driver of air crews that wa...

Re: Covid Vaccine
Thanks to all that have had the jab, I had mine this week after having a cold, and I was advised not to have it for a week. To those that are eligible and haven’t had it, what not? More chance of getting blood clots when you have COVID than the jab. And Don’t complain when the tennis or Grand Prix ...

Favourite fishing drinks
Hi all, Topics are a bit slow. Time to check the favourite drinks of FV members. 1. Favourite drink when fishing / filleting. 2. Favourite drink when eating fish. 3. Favourite drink when money is no object. (I’m looking forward to these replies). 4. With the weather turning cooler and the fishing sl...

Re: Footy tipping woes
3 out of 9 for the weekend. I was only 3 or 4 behind the leader at the start of the round. I wasn’t worried about that yesterday (Saturday) as I was catching heaps of undersized pinkies on the far reef a few hundred meters of Williamstown beach. I’d move along the reef and catch lots more. Flathead ...

Building home with the big builders (Henley, Metricon, Simonds etc).
Hi All, I’m planning to build a double story house with one of the big builders. Something like the Henley Emporio 34. Looking to hear from those FV members that have completed a build, their thoughts and what to look out for. I’m also think there will be a few FV members that are working / have wor...
