Thanks RB. Yeah in that sort of area I take the marks with a grain of salt - as a guide not a " fish are only here " sort of thing. In that area there's lots of current and bottom structure so, for me I think it was the live squid and the rig that made the difference. And maybe a bit of l...

We arrived a Hastings boat ramp, and there was a fairly long queue, and as our place in the queue progressed, we would take the opportunity to rig the boat for launching. Another great report well done mate.
I’ve had a couple of sessions on the whiting but won’t get out again until after the long weekend apart from a quick squid session. Still eager to get offshore.
