Snaps Report Tues/Wed
Done two pre-workers in a row. Absolutely knackered. Have been getting them from Fawkner to T5 so saw no reason to change things up. Yesterday punched out to T9, wind was whipping up from the South so was bumpy in my little boat. Marked up some fish then as I’m anchoring a gust of wind blew my canop...

Re: Interesting Body of Water
How's this for an idea. We get the whole forum involved for Callaghan Creek Yam Fishing day. Everyone dresses up in full camo ala Meppstas suggestion and we fish the creek using only full Yams for bait.
Imagine the uproar. It would be great

Re: Lakes Entrance
It depends on the time of year you are here. If it is winter then you will mainly be chasing Salmon and sometimes Taylor around the entrance and along the Rock walls between lakes and Nungurner. You could put your boat in on the Tambo or Nicholson and chase bream . Once the weather warms like now, ...

The Epic Line Tangle Incident of 2017
Plan was to go out last night but weather turned and postponed until this morning before work. Launched at willy at 4 and burned over to fawkner beacon. Plenty of boats but mainly past the beacon to the south. Decided to have a sniff around to the east. Found a good single fish hard on the bottom an...

Re: Looking for fishing Tutor / Coach
I don't think there is really any secret sauce when it comes to fishing. It just comes down to spending the time on the water, just like everything practice makes perfect. Expect to come home empty handed a lot, but it's all about persistence. You can pay to go on a tuition charter, I did that last ...

Re: My tips and tricks to snapper fishing
Great tips phil and well done on your success this season, great to see the consistency. I'd like to add a couple of my own. Last season i was pulling my hair out, maybe getting lucky on a fish every 5 or 6 trips. This season i'm getting fish, usually a couple most trips, certainly not to the extent...

Snappos Report 18/11
Gday All, With a mate down from QLD he was staying with me this weekend and was pretty keen to get his first ever snapper. The pressure was on. Despite him getting in at 11.30 I told him to have a good serving of concrete as we were up at 3.30 Saturday morning. Launched at 4am at Willy, and belted o...

Quick Furuno Question
Hey Guys, Hoping someone with a Furuno might be able to help me out with something. I usually run the sounder in bottom zoom mode set to 5 metres with auto range. Currently I think it just blows up the bottom 5 metres of the normal echo. Makes sense. Thing is I don't really need to zoom in on the se...

Re: Hot snapper bite!!!
Good work mate, you're on fire...Keep it up! Would love to know where you got some space, I went out off willy and it was absolutely packed. Boat after boat after boat. Any areas a bit quieter atm? wouldn't mind getting away from the crowds. Eventually found some fish out in 12 away from the boats. ...
