Shimano 2500 vs 3000 & 4000 vs 5000

Hi All,
I realise the 2500 & 3000 Shimano reels are identical (and 4000 & 5000) except for a deeper spool allowing more line, but why wouldn't you just buy the larger versions....why do Shimano keep making the 2500 and 4000 reels?

Also keep in mind the bigger the boat the more ongoing costs to maintain it. The 650F has had 15k spent on it in the last 12 months which should keep it going perfectly for another few years. What you been doing toit now Just required maintenance. New brakes, springs plus mounting hard ware, axles ...
