I was a member of several shooting organisations 10+years ago and we warned quite a few fishing organisations and 4x4 clubs this attack was coming they just scoffed at it and said it will only be shooters they go after.

6.2:1 I like spinning off the beach and casting to salmon and Skippy's out of the boat but for using plastics for snapper on the reef and pulling gummys off the sand 5.2:1 is good. I did purchase 1 for $198 delivered. I am yet to use it.
I prefer the lower gear ratio or I would have bought another stradic I honestly don't understand shamano's fascination with high Ratio reels
