Re: We're Going to Need a Bigger Net Dad!!!
I would like to say 70cm lol but only measured 69. Not sure how heavy though. What would a fish like this weigh? That's a great pic then mate, cos I could have sworn it was much bigger. Mid-high 80's I was guessing. Just goes to show that photos can be deceiving 'ey! (You must have little hands...o...

Re: Removing restrictions on trout.
It all revolves around the mighty $$ They want anglers to increase by 1 million so really that means they need fish that people can recognise and readily eat. What better then the universal "trout" craze. Just like atlantic salmon it's had a surge in popularity. If carp tasted great and didn't stink...

Re: Does anglers killing carp make any difference?
Kadmium It absolutely would stand up in court: When you buy a fishing license you are entering into a legally binding contract to agree to those conditions. If you don't want to kill carp don't fish in waters containing carp. It is there in black and white that if you catch one you must kill it. I'...

Re: Does anglers killing carp make any difference?
In regards to carp 1. I personally don't think killing them makes a huge difference. They are so abundant that there will never be a complete eradication of them. 2. Virus is ok but look at Myxo. Still plenty of rabbits about just messed up with birth defects. And now they are on to Calisi virus. 3....

Re: Does anglers killing carp make any difference?
Just to chip in my 2c. Forum runs on "Premium Membership" but then a mod decides that "Premium Membership" means nothing. Talks about not airing feed back but then stated "I knew I would get a hit just wondered who it would be" Are you serious? I can see now paid membership means nothing on this sit...

Re: Float
A pencil float is great for situations where you do not want wind to affect the float. As the majority of the float sits in the water and only a small percentage sticks out it is much less prone to wind movement. Pencil floats are great for freshwater fishing etc or when you have a wind against tide...

I was shocked.. only I am capable of catching something that crazy.. Pretty sure whiting are a common occurance in WP but I may be wrong. I'm more interested in this Thresher Shark you caught. Re: Bag limits for Charter Boats
Over the years I have been out on charter boats quite a few times, and on every occasion the skipper and deck hand have never fished , but there quota was always included in the bag limit Who were the charter operators? Were you happy with them taking their quota? Wonder if they include their bag f...
