Re: Daiwa
Dont know much about Daiwa models.. used a friends one on the weekend and it was really nice. Might look into them. Can someone make a direct comparison to Shimanos? What in the spin series is equivalent to Saragossa and Sedonas? How is the quality and durability compared to Shimano/Penn? Also any ...

Re: Telescopic Rods
Get a multi piece and if you're going 3 piece you might as well go 4 piece...so much more compact. I got a cheap Savage gear spin rod 4 piece the action is pretty good!frozenpod wrote:Are there any decent Telescopic travel rods or are they all rubbish and better to go with a 3 piece?

Re: Rovex Oberon Baitcast Reels
He did say baitcast setup not spinning.. I really enjoy using a baitcaster, accurate casting and fun to use reels, problem is if you buy a very cheap setup you’re not getting the full potential of the setup, I’d rather get an entry level Shimano baitcast setup for a bit more, I have a Curado, aweso...

Re: Travel Rods and Fishing tackle on aeroplanes.
Also if your going up north there are greater size and weight restrictions on the smaller planes such as Rex air. I like 1 piece rod for home and for travel bought a few 4 piece rods. Some 3 piece rod do not fit in my check in bag and I do not want to risk carry on. So I just use a pvc tube in the c...

Frankston can really fire when the wind is blowing hard. Use small metals or plastics and move up and down the pier.LachyBell wrote:Just wondering what piers are producing, I have a choice to go to Mornington, Mordialloc, Portsea and just want to catch Salmon, Squid or a Flathead or Whiting.

Re: Daiwa Gen Black Travel rods
Thanks for the replys and info...looks like plenty of sales coming up too. Bcf have 20% off all rods this month. May pull the trigger on the gen black.
Ps I have so many rods now my wife does not know whats new and whats old! So long as I sneak them into the rod racks!
