There's definitely wild ones around Bright in the ovens and surrounding creeks.

Re: Victoria Trout Opening 2016
I wouldn't count on the ovens being too clear for opening, we just got a decent amount of rain today in the ovens valley.

Re: Any good places where those big reddies lurk?
If you can find a school of them at lake Eppalock there'll be more than enough to keep you busy but they'll mostly be small. Eildon and Lake Hume can also produce a few big ones but most people target other species at those lakes (myself included), so take my advice with a pinch of salt.

Re: Murray River
The ovens has completely burst its banks, so it's a no go at the moment. Mulwala will also be muddy as hell but in better condition than the Ovens. I can't really speak for what's downstream of Mulwala though, but I'd imagine it's very muddy and will probably be tough fishing. Good luck!

Re: Headlight for Pier Fishing
These are probably the closest you'll get to a headlamp flood light for under $250 aud. Just have to be careful with the batteries because some cheap 18650 batteries have a reputation for exploding when charged. https://www.fenixlighting.com/product/hp30-fenix-headlamp/ https://www.fenixlighting.com...

Okuma Streamer?
I'm looking for an okuma streamer rod online but I haven't been able to find any. I was wondering if anyone here has seen them either instore or online?

Re: Nibble tip rods.
I've had some success with a cheap one for some of the more skittish cod around. They will slowly pull on the bait, which will show on a nibble tip but not on my heavier graphite rod allowing me to identify and strike at a bite that otherwise would go unnoticed

Re: the Shooters, Fishers and Farmers Party
I knew this thread would end up being a sh*t show and I was rapidly loosing faith in humanity until DougieK turned up  but just to add to his point, Australia also has one of the highest pollution rates per person in the world. " Australia has one of the highest per capita emissions of car...
