Re: Where the jewies at?

Back on topic.... If you have read any fishing reports from 'supposed' fishing moguls from Geelong and the surrounding areas, over the last decade or more, all you have to do to catch a Jewie in the Barwon River sheepwash end, is throw a live bait into the river. Some of the best fishing times are ...

Re: Port Melbourne fishing!

Howdy, Welcome to the forum and fishing as a whole! you'll get some great info here to get you onto some fish! Port Melbourne can be quite good at times, but like a lot of spots around the city can also be very quiet at times. I much prefer fishing off princess pier as appose to webb dock, less of a...

Re: Kingfish Tips?

Hey Tommy, was with the young lads that have been all over fb when they pulled up a couple last week. Success has come from fresh squid under float/balloon but more so big unweighted soft plastics with no weight. Go see Chris at the Compleat Angler on flinders lane, he'll give you all the knowledge ...

Re: Loch Sport and surroundings

Leaving for Seaspray in an hour. I ll be fishing between the caravan park and Honeysuckles. Come and say hi if you want! Good spot for salmon, sand flatheads and gummies. Sharks are always a possibility but you need to put big baits beyond the breakers. In front of Merriman's creek there is a possi...

Looking for some mullet!

Hey guys!
Looking for some mullet and not doing very well at all.

Went to my usual trusty spot at mordialloc creek yesterday and didn't even get a touch even after heaps of burley!

Wondering if anyone knows where they've been hanging out lately?

Thanks!

Re: Werribee South update

Hey Piglet Hope you start getting some good fish! The rockwall at the new marina has been fishing extremely well for snapper and pinkies and some flatties too. Best if you walk out past the lights on to the rocks but if you can't just get out as far as you can. Big fish getting caught inside the mar...

Re: Where the jewies at?

If anyone is seriously keen to catch jews, get down to Salt Creek, SA over summer and fish the beach - i went with a few mates and none of us had ever got one - in three days we got more than 30! crazy place over there!

Re: Where the jewies at?

Nooga from my experience: -there would be some kayakers out there who have probably racked up triple figures over the preceding months; -the Yarra spot kindly provided by a fellow forum member is no better or worse than any other land based spot between Hawthorn and the bay; -Jimi Hendrix is not ov...
