I wouldn't bother with a gypsy style winch and a decent small drum like a GX1 will be around 2k if you can't install it yourself. I installed one on a 4.4m mainly for the safety factor as it's an open boat with a casting deck with minimal bow rails and I fish solo a lot at night.
Looks like you have done a fair bit of work on your boat over winter....looking forward to seeing some action shots this season!
