Re: Blue rock n bass tips

So small stick baits walk the dog type lures are a good start? I’ve got a handful of topwater baits I could use for bass.. got plenty of hard bodies (I assume they would take whatever Redfin will)

Am I right to stick em with a 1-2 kg rod n a 1000 or beef up with a 2-5 n 2500?

Re: Swimbait rods hit the half kg mark!

500gram bait is huge but like he said I’m excited to see the size of baits to hit the Australian market in years to come! Big cod fishos are gonna be part time body builders haha

Re: Blue rock n bass tips

The micro pompadours are an awesome little lure. I'd recommend changing the treble on them though. I've seen them snap easily. I put a size 10 owner treble which is a touch smaller and actually work better because it doesn't foul up on the metal wings. I actually went n got a micro this morning! I ...

Re: Quick law check

I got fined years ago under the Westgate fishing for Jewies. I had two rods out while fishing for live bait with another. It is classed as an estuary, so only two rods allowed. Fair enough too, my bad, I should have known better. Hmmm pretty stiff I reckon Anyone know why there's a difference betwe...

Blue rock n bass tips

Hey guys so I’ve set a goal this summer to finally go out n target n hopefully nail a few bass. I know a few members do get up in the skinny creeks n Bush bash with great success but I’m wondering if any members have fished blue rock or fish it somewhat regularly. Being primarily a cod n yella fisho...

Re: Weather worth going for natives

Rising flows in rivers mean new ground to feed on providing there is a bit of clarity (not iced coffee) and its safe enough its worth a shot.. I also wanted to fish this weekend but gotta get some Xmas shopping done.. Dirtier water will make your fishing a lot harder especially if casting lures.. la...

Re: Cod classic 2018!!

Every year after the classic I say I’m not doin it again cause it’s like Easter it’s chaos.. I’ll probably be back next year tho lmao It gets pretty crazy there with 2500+ fishermen trying to get their boats in the water. There were some really long line-ups at the ramps, with even worse parking qu...
