If we wanna fish trout there should be designated lakes not rivers n streams.. carp are great fun to catch it's a shame having to kill big breeders of any species but natives get top priority with me any day of the week! Hit the Yarra mate anywhere with scrubbies! Your a shoe in for at least eels n carp. Running sinker rig is fine smallest weight u can get away with will do ya fine

Black double jointed jitterbug is the only surface lure I could reccomend at bcf.. I'm sure they have some good options tho.. I got a ballista LED surface lure n it's proven thus far to be sh*t

It's mainly the color of the fins n lack of white in the eye that's making me say yellowbelly.. but the size of its mouth makes me think Macca..

I've sent the pic to a few old blokes n they all verify it as a yella.. looking at some old pics of maccas I've got other outta the Yarra the color of the fins makes it a clear distinction it isn't a macca.. seems u can catch a fish as rare as rocking horse shït
