What do you guys think of them? I've had a play with them, and they're not daiwa smooth, but they seem very quality for the money.

I don't think I'll be getting out to hazelwood anytime soon, its a bit of a drive. Still rather do that than fork out $40+ for a big jag or midas from the petshop haha.

Duo lures are good the tropical species seem to love em, but they are a bit expensive

There are lots of different rods and reels for different types of landbased fishing, but generally something around the 2m mark, a 4000-5000 size reel and 20lb braid with a 30lb fluorocarbon leader will get you in with a chance for general saltwater bait fishing from jetties, beaches and rockwalls....

Went there again yesterday evening and landed 6 reddies from the surface, two missed strikes and one dropped fish.
