Re: Snapper fishing may be banned for three years in SA

So we should bring back netters and encourage long lining as well because it was all a big mistake ? Seems like they are doing it the correct way in SA then after all ? Another breeding cycle should fix it all up. Job done. Now you're twisting **** to suit yourself. I merely highlighted how much b*...

Re: Snapper fishing may be banned for three years in SA

https://www.vrfish.com.au/2018/05/01/record-recruitment-of-snapper-in-2018/ This makes positive reading - re snapper in PPB. The bay is a unique spot though, as others have mentioned, restoration of shellfish beds and reducing/eliminating netters is a big step in this case. The size, the inflow of r...

Re: Lone star winch

You definitely won’t regret this winch. As others have said - good buy. I’ve got a gx2 on my fibreglass centre console and it’s great. I’d be interested to know how that synthetic rode goes on a gx2 because I like to get outside the heads and If I’m in more than 40 meters of water I run out of lengt...

Re: Free Boat Ramps

Great news all round. I guess this means busier boat ramps too ? Remember that horrid image of boats on trailers backed up in the early hours on Station Street Altona a few years back. That’s crazy. Anyway for me no fees means a fair bit. Generally the ramp fee cost is only $15-20 but I don’t live a...

Great initiative, I hope all the mums, dads, uncles aunties, grandparents and carers have the best time with their kids. And catch some fishes.

Re: Plolarised Lens Colour

I've tried Mako's (blue tinge) and Spotters (brown lens). They are all ok but years ago I had a pair of "snow" sunnies that were polarised and had a yellow lens. They were the best, it was like life was coloured with a Fluor highlighter pen. Next time I shop for fishing sunnies I'll try for a yellow...
