Re: NSW Fishing License ?

I don't fish the Murray but was checked by a ranger at the Thredbo last year . This ranger was most helpful as she checked my pension card, then my camping permit, and promptly issued a refund. Re: How to read a lake

Look for any place where fresh water runs into the lake. Rivers, streams,or even tiny creeks. If there's water flowing the trout will be feeding.. And those sloping edges as mentioned above. Find both and your on a winner. :a_goodjob:

Re: Wanting an Eildon (and surrounds) update

If your heading to the pondage get yourself some white power bait and use a light running sinker rig around the bridge area. I took 4 nice trout there a week ago using that method. Not a touch on float rig and only saw 1 fish fall to a lure. Good luck. Richard.

Only keep a feed. The rest go back for next time.

Re: Eildon pondage

Thanks guys. It was a great trip to the place I learnt to fish as a kid. And the fish in the bottom pic is PB rainbow so couldn't be happier.
