I remember my first few trips to Geelong were also fruitless but with perseverance and trying different baits, set up and timing, the rate has gone up to 50-50 for me.

Let's say the virus was successful in eradicating carps. What would happen to the introduced virus once the carps are gone? Will they self-extinguish, or would they target other species? How to control the virus if and when it has done it's job? I'm a little scared.

Nice flatties The pinkies are getting to shallower water now it seems.

I don't think there are many sand crabs in Port Phillip Bay but I personally caught plenty of them from Barwon Heads all the way to Apollo Bay.
