Are you sure they are walleye and not zander? Walleye are native to Canada and the USA, while zander are native to Europe. I didn't think Walleye were in Europe, but I could be wrong. Some pretty bad advice here I reckon. I'd say a few people commenting don't have much experience surf fishing (in proper surf) or have never fished when there is weed + a big shore break. In these conditions, a 12ft rod won't cut it. You need the extra length to keep your rod above the shore break ...
