Re: Murray River 13/5/17

These "proposals" were put forward a few years ago for suitable use of high water tables and salt degraded land. One of the government agencies was involved; so that was most likely a recipe for disaster in itself. I can't remember the species involved, but seem to recall mention of "lower" classes ...

Re: Murray River 13/5/17

Texas, Yep, know all about the ground water problem. I live among it; about 25km towards Shepparton from Tongala. It is an unfortunate fact of life here. There are 2 groundwater pumps within 600 metres of my property and another one about 1.5km away. The water table on my property averages about 2.2...

Murray River 13/5/17

I was a passenger on a smallish pontoon boat yesterday 13/5 out of Echuca. The river is extremely low and we had 5 or 6 most likely skeg on log strikes as well as 2 solid prop on river bed strikes as well as digging the skeg in just off the boat ramp. Re: re design cuddy area

Col,

Glad to hear that you have your base payment back.

It certainly doesn't make up for the grey hairs and headaches etc in the interim.

I still think that he should be named and shamed which might avoid the same problems for others in the future.

Re: re design cuddy area

Colin, Looking better. I wonder if it would be worth hitting it with a pressure washer to clean the crap and mould off the surface and in the glass pores before drying out. Maybe a wash then with white spirits to take any oiliness/greasiness off. Would be more pleasant to use than acetone. Ken

Re: Coast Guard article in todays Herald Sun

I can see much higher usage of epirbs for piddly things. I can't see too many people mucking around with non-boating dills in Canberra.

Hey Nude up.

I took a closer look when I saw one come from Melton; but then I thought the 35 years of age let you of the hook.

When does the Bermi trip take place? And make sure nobody touches the tailgate of the new cruiser.
