Re: Why loads of Garfish down there but no bites?

Could be your bait as well some days they only take maggots. Hi mate, that might be the one reason too, another guy told me the same thing yesterday. I just wondering where to get these maggots. where can I buy it? I would rather not leave a piece of meat out there to flies, which may be a bit disg...

I went there a few times mate, and saw many guys targeting gars and salmon. A buddy told me gars can be caught all year round down there.

Re: Why loads of Garfish down there but no bites?

When this has happened to me I've had success by casting out a bit further. It's like the closer they are the more spooky they are when the water is clear and calm. Hi Sinsemilla, now I guess this might be the point. About 6 guys there were fishing garfish, but only one caught 5, and most of the fi...

We used fish oil plus bread crumb as berley, silver fish as bait, No. 10 long shank hooks, try 1m - 2m depth, we could see loads of them down there, but no bites at all. We only caught 1 garfish for whole day. We e...

Re: Any fish at Sugarloaf Reservoir Park?

i've only caught reddies in there on soft plastics but there's also trout, carp ,yellowbelly and a few more species. again, lures only but i can't see why your not allowed to use natural baits like worms or maggots in there. Thanks mate, could you tell me the spot for reddies? I've never been there...
