I am not alone here :super:

You can fit even more rods if you keep rods and reels separately.

Re: Kmart????

I think it is good. I have done a lot of shopping in 2012 when Kmart was selling brand name fishing stuff at 1/3 price to clear the shelves for their own inferior brand.

Re: Alvey reel conversion for left hand wind.

Check this out - http://alveyanglersforum.boards.net/post/12/thread Thanks Fish-Hunter. I saw that video and read that dedicated forum. As I mentioned earlier I decided to replace just base plate. Honestly I have not used yet heavier 650C5, however I use partially converted 500C5 off rocks to pull ...

Re: Alvey reel conversion for left hand wind.

Just a quick update. Got 2 used Left Hand Wind index plates locally and did a quick partial LH Alvey conversion. Yesterday I was casting and trolling from Yak for almost 2 hours with modified 500C5. Easy one hand casting and no issues with winding. No worries about saltwater reel damage. Happy as a ...

Re: Alvey reel conversion for left hand wind.

Thanks, will start checking. Though I think it might take a while. Left hand wind reels are not commonly used in AU.

Re: Alvey reel conversion for left hand wind.

Thanks russellh2. I already turned the reel by 180 deg on the rod. However it was built to turn by 90 Deg (for casting) only anti-clockwise while I need it clockwise - so the spool can face the rod tip direction for cast. I hoped to turn over the plate with cast lever in order to make the opposite r...
