What would you recommend? We like the idea of a wider kayak as they feel safer and one you sit ontop. Just wondering when fishing at the pier because of the works going on, were is a good spot to fish?

I've got big rods and seen people fishing from the car park. Is fishing from the car park straight into the water OK? And if so how far do you need to cast?
