Need a better picture to compare it ... by the way I wouldn't pick up or handle any fish I didn't know the species. back in the day before we knew what blue ring octopus were a guy let one crawl on his arm and played with it... you can guess the outcome.

Its a galaxia, back in the day we used a minnow trap with bread to trap them, we fished them under a bubble float at lake Murdeduke, a deadly combination, galaxia may be protected now but I don't know ?

I uses a Berkley stool like this one, I take an extra cutting board to sit the stool on to stop it sinking in the sand...

Well back today with salted mussels and prawn. Arrived before sun up. Nice bright moon though. Threw two lines in , one with mussel one with prawn. Bites straight away. Took a cpl of goes to hook one. Nice one in the Esky. So many bites I went to one rod. Very busy for about half an hour and a doze...
