I have found them over grassy areas around 10 to 15 feet depth , if they're around it won't take them long to hone in on the burley.

Thanks fellas, I just searched images and to me it looks like the ray was an eagle ray, i didn’t notice any dark tiger stripes or any motley colouring on the one I released, it was a coffee with milk colour, but it did have a raised box head on it ha ha.
