RIP to the three who lost their lives off Altona. But is it useful to call them imbeciles, idiots, stupid? Probably better to shut up, leave your ego at home, and realise they are people. Maybe people with family and friends who are regular users of these forums.

That's rough. Almost 300 views and 8 responses? A 3.5 kg Snapper off a pier in winter dragged to shore, under lines with no net. Damn...

out of curiosity I looked at some reviews......maybe I will fish more confidently with the 4000. The drag is real smooth like they all protest.

I bought the 4000 for another rod and scooped up the 7ft sonic rod. I am for going to have to re sell the rod on ebay. Not for me. The style of rod doesn't suit my purpose. Value for money combo though.
