Re: Trailer maintenance
This is a hose attachment that's fixed inside the trailer frame, one either side. This comes as standard from the factory but you could tap a thread through the gal and screw an attachment in place . Put a bit of lock tight around thread and should stay for good.

Re: At 30 knots
G'day rb85, I run it on 200khz and sensitivity on auto. I haven't played around with it too much. It picks up fish on but after seeing Wollys I was pretty impressed.

Re: Trailer failure eliminates fishing time
Very lucky mate, a good time to give it a proper overhaul.
I have a voyager brand trailer. It has 2 hose convections moulded into the frame, hook up the hose and flush it out after each trip. It's a great idea more manufacturers should adopt.

Re: At 30 knots
That's a great reading, I have the same unit but the 9" and there is no way I could get anything close at 30 knots.
I'd pay someone to have mine looking so clear, it does my head in!

Re: Portland 6/7/17
Once again well done for getting out there Chris. I think the best option would be heading out to the shelf. They are hard to come by at the moment.
I have a mate in tassie at the moment fishing eagle hawk neck for 5 days. I declined after work commitments. They got 5 yesterday with 3 taken by seals.

Re: Anchor winch test s***fight
I have a lone star GX-2 on an AMF 580 pro sport. Great anchor winch. Strong, reliable and quite. Last boat had a lewmar and I find the drum is much better.
